Entry-Level Automotive Technician

Our entry-level automotive technicians should be ready to take the ASE Certification if he or she is not already certified. You must have a strong mechanical aptitude and be willing to learn. Duties include:

  • Basic maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, transmission flushes, tire rotations, brakes, belts and hoses, and CV axles.
  • Have the ability to diagnose mechanical problems.
  • Have your own tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Be able to follow safety procedures.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized.
  • Communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.

You must have a driver’s license and some automotive experience.

Intermediate Automotive Technician

Our intermediate automotive technicians should have their ASE Certification in engine repair, suspension and steering, brakes, heating and air conditioning, engine performance and light vehicle diesel engines.

Duties include:

  • Complex maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including engine rebuilding, basic transmission work and electrical system repairs.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Use a variety of diagnostic equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized.
  • Communication skills.

You should have at least five years of automotive repair experience, a driver’s license, and be willing to renew your ASE Certifications.

Master Automotive Technician

Our ASE Master Techs must have their certifications in A1 through A8:

  • Engine repair
  • Automatic transmission / transaxle
  • Manual drivetrain and axles
  • Suspension and steering
  • Brakes
  • Electrical and electronic systems
  • Heating and air conditioning
  • Engine performance

Ideally, our master techs will also be certified in light vehicle diesel engines or be willing to obtain that certification.

Our master techs will also have a driver’s license, at least eight years of experience in an automotive shop, be willing to renew their Master Certification, have excellent communication skills, and have the ability to keep their work area clean and organized.

Fleet Services Technician

Our fleet services technicians must be able to perform the following duties:

  • Complex maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including engine rebuilding, basic transmission work and electrical system repairs.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Use a variety of diagnostic equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized.
  • Communication skills.

They should also have at least three years of diesel repair on small, medium and heavy-duty diesel engines.

Diesel Technician

Our diesel technicians should have their ASE Certification in light vehicle diesel engines and medium to heavy truck certifications and have at least three years of experience working on diesel vehicles of all sizes.

Service Advisor

Our service advisor should have extensive automotive maintenance and repair experience. They should have their ASE Master Certification and Automobile Service Consultant Certification. They should also have supervisory and management experience and be willing to train entry-level and intermediate technicians.

Service advisors should also have their driver’s license, excellent communication skills, ability to work with the public and break down repair explanations to customers.

Receptionist / Front Counter

Our receptionist / front counter workers should have at least a basic knowledge of auto repair, experience in taking inventory, customer satisfaction, and excellent communication skills. Front counter workers may also be asked to help service advisors order parts or pick up parts. They should be well-organized and have a driver’s license.

All Employees

Everyone who works for CarDi Automotive auto repair in Winter Haven, FL receives paid time off. If we are open on Saturdays, you will be willing to work some Saturdays. Because our employees drive customer’s vehicles, you may be required to take a drug test.
